Changelog

What changed in ReyLive, newest first.

  1. Fix

    Security hardening pass

    • Fixed a spoofable client-IP issue, added rate limiting to login/registration/2FA/password-reset to prevent brute-forcing, closed a private-stream status leak, blocked an image-upload memory exhaustion issue, and closed an open-redirect bypass on the language switcher. Chat history is now automatically cleared 2 hours after a stream ends.
  2. Feature

Persian language support with right-to-left layout

    • ReyLive is now available in Persian (Farsi) alongside English, with a full right-to-left layout, a proper Persian font, and dates shown in the Jalali (Shamsi) calendar when browsing in Persian. Switch languages from the footer on any page.
  3. Feature

Automated deployment, theming, and profile upgrades

    • Added automated CI/CD deployment, a light/dark theme switcher (dark by default), a site favicon, click-to-copy on stream credentials, social media links on profiles (shown on the streamer's live page), and expanded terms of service with content rules for our primary audience.
  4. Feature

    Marketing homepage, changelog and SEO/GEO

    • Redesigned the homepage to promote live streams, added this changelog page, real-time stream quality stats on the player, SEO metadata (Open Graph, JSON-LD, sitemap) and generative-engine-optimization support (llms.txt), plus a general performance pass (response caching, compression).
  5. Feature

    Reporting and admin panel

    • Users can report a profile or a stream, with every report timestamped and queued for review. Added an admin panel to manage users (ban/unban, promote, reset stream keys) and resolve reports.
  6. Feature

    Live chat

    • Added a WebSocket-based live chat on every stream page, with persisted history. Chatting requires being logged in.
  7. Breaking

Accounts, 2FA, profiles and private streams

    • Replaced the fixed stream-key model with full user accounts: registration by email or phone, TOTP two-step verification, editable profiles with avatars, per-user stream keys with Bearer-token WHIP auth, private streams gated by a viewer access key, and PostgreSQL-backed persistence. Also fixed a graceful-shutdown deadlock, a wildcard CORS policy, an unauthenticated stream-teardown endpoint, and a missing STUN server.
  8. Fix

    Keyframe request throttling

    • Fixed excessive PLI (keyframe) requests to the streamer causing lag; switched RTP forwarding to typed ReadRTP/WriteRTP methods.
  9. Improvement

    Initial release

    • WHIP ingestion and WHEP playback relay for personal streaming, with fixed YAML-configured stream keys.
